Tennis Team's Spring Season Start Delayed

HOUSTON--The University of Houston tennis team's first match of the season against Sam Houston State, which was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13, has been forfeited to the Cougars.
The Bobcats are unable to compete with the minimum players required to compete due to a rash of injuries, therefore, Houston will receive the win by default.
The Cougars will now start the season off on Feb.19 against Louisiana Tech at home on the John E. Hoff Courts. Houston also competes at home on Feb. 20 and Feb. 21 where they take on Texas-Pan American and Northwestern State.
The spring season will be showing a new look to the Houston tennis team, with freshman Bryony Hunter, Maja Kazimieruk and Alexandra Pickerill, and junior transfer Elena Kazakova, all making their debut for the Cougars.
