Lonnegren Finishes Fourth in Friday's Finals

AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Houston diving team will wrapped up day two at the Texas Invitational with a fourth-place finish Friday evening.
Sophomore Julia Lonnegren stood at the head of the pack after the afternoon's preliminary round, posting a score of 293.80. The Forolund, Sweden, native only slightly lowered her score in the finals, recording an NCAA "A" qualifying mark of 290.55 to take fourth place.
Texas sophomore Maren Taylor, who finished fourth in prelims, swapped places with Lonnegren in the finals, earning first-place honors for the host team.
Senior All-American Lacey Truelove did not compete in the 1-meter competition.
The Cougars will conclude the three-day meet with the platform diving finals Sat., at 12:30 p.m. in the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. No preliminary round will be held.
