WACO, Texas - University of Houston women's tennis player Joanna Kacprzyk fell in the quarterfinal round of the singles consolation draw to end play for the Cougars at the UTSA/ITA Texas Regional on Monday afternoon.
Kacprzyk, a senior from Warsaw, Poland, dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6(6) decision in extremely windy conditions to Paula Dinuta of North Texas to snap a three-match winning streak.
Houston returns to play on Nov. 5-7 when it hosts the Cougar Fall Draw at John E. Hoff Courts.
