HOUSTON - The University of Houston soccer team travels to Huntington, W. Va., on Friday night to kick off its 2009 Conference USA schedule against Marshall at Sam Hood Field. The Cougars then head down the east coast to face the East Carolina Pirates on Sunday Sept. 27 at 10:30 a.m. CT.
The Thundering Herd leads C-USA with a 7-1 record - the best start in school history. However, the team is coming off its first loss of the season. Marshall fell to Western Kentucky 4-1 at the University of Kentucky Tournament this past weekend.
