Houston's Win Earns Week 2 Game of the Week

The University of Houston's 45-35 upset of Oklahoma State has been voted by the United States Sports Academy as College Football Game of the Week for Week 2.
The award is given by the Sports Academy's panel which includes 15 men with distinguished backgrounds in major college football. At the end of the season and after bowl games, a final review of nominations will be conducted to determine the Game of the Year.
The Cougars jumped up to an early lead and held a 17-point lead when the second half started. The Cowboys battled back and regained the lead with just over 11 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. However, the Cougar offense answered with a 11-play, 80-yard drive that gave Houston the lead for good. The Houston defense sealed the victory when junior cornerback Jamal Robinson intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown.
While the game was became close at the end of the third quarterr, the Cougars found themselves behind in points for only 9:48 while they held the lead for 47:13. Including the Northwestern State game, the Cougars have found themselves tied with their opponent for 6:25, trailing for 9:48 while they have held the lead for 103:47. Finishing second in the voting was No 3USC's classic 18-15 victory at No 11 Ohio State. Tying for third were No 25 Michigan and Central Michigan.
