The University of Houston has announced that the game against Memphis on Saturday Nov. 21 will be the first ever "Go Coogs, Go Green" event. The theme is to promote awareness about going Green, the environment, recycling, commute solutions and sustainability.
Fans can participate in the conservation efforts by arriving to the West Side of Robertson Stadium between 10 am - 12 pm. There will be free prizes, games and information on how to help get involved in the Green movement.
The event will be sponsored by Commute Solutions, Republic Services, Chipotle, University of Houston Services, Coca-Cola, Silver Eagle Distributors and the Houston-Galveston Area Council.
"As a company that embraces sustainability and encourages a green lifestyle," Illana Rodriguez said, "Chipolte Mexican Grill is happy to join the University of Houston during its `Go Coogs, Go Green' event. We're excited to share the Chipolte story with the Cougars and root them on to another victory!"
The Cougars will play host to Conference USA rival Memphis, at noon, Saturday, on John O'Quinn Field at Robertson stadium.
