King Named C-USA Volleyball Setter of the Week

HOUSTON - University of Houston senior Kelsey King was named the Conference USA Setter of the Week for her performance during the week of Sept. 1. The weekly award is the second in King's career.
The San Antonio native finished the weekend averaging 10.50 assists per set to pace the Cougars at the 2008 Hotel Encanto Volleyball Classic hosted by New Mexico State University. She added two service aces and 36 digs.
King has a team-high 253 assists and has 53 digs, the second highest total on the team. She also ranks fourth in C-USA in assists per set with 10.12.
King last won Setter of the Week on Aug. 28, 2006.
Up Next
The Cougars will remain on the road for the third-straight weekend, traveling to the Time Warner Cable Texas Invitational on Sept. 11-12. Houston will face Georgia and Texas on Sept. 11 and Texas State on Sept. 12.
UH will play host to Lamar on Sept. 17 in the 2008 home opener at 7 p.m.
