HOUSTON - Homecoming week for the University of Houston Cougars was not all about who won King and Queen, or which tailgate team showed the most spirit but who contributed to Houston's win over the Tulane.
On the field the Cougars rolled past Tulane with a 42-14 win. Contributing to the win this weekend are players of the week; offense Carl Barnett, the entire defense and special teams Roisean Haynes.
Scout Team POW's are offense Jeremiah Alexander, defense Demarcus Lattier, and special teams Shomari Williams.
Haynes contributed to Houston's win over the Green Wave with a solo tackle and two assists during the game.
While center Barnett helped contribute to the offense's 693 yards against Tulane, the defense held the Green Wave to only 268 yards and forced two fumbles.
