UH Athletics To Take Part In Fourth of July Celebrations

HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Houston today announced its involvement and sponsorship in the Fourth of July Celebration hosted by the City of Houston. The "Chevy's Freedom over Texas" will take place at Eleanor Tinsley Park on Allen Parkway just west of downtown.
UH will have a booth set up near Chevy's All-Access stage. The booth will have televisions showcasing the 2007 Cougar Football commercial and 2006 UH highlights as well as Play Station game with NCAA Football.
People who visit the booth can register for a drawing of prizes, including autographed football, autographed helmet and two football season tickets. 2007 posters, schedule cards and magnets and bumper stickers also will be available to Cougar fans.
Admission is $6 per person and gates open at 4 pm.
