HOUSTON - University of Houston baseball head coach Rayner Noble announced a pair of game time changes and one game date change Wednesday afternoon.
The Cougars will play their entire series against Conference USA rival and 21st-ranked Tulane on April 20-22 at Zephyr Field in Metairie, La. In addition, the starting times for the first two games of that series were changed to avoid conflicts with the New Orleans Zephyrs, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets.
The April 20 game against the Green Wave will be played at noon, while the April 21 game will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Although the game time has been changed, the Tulane series opener will continue to be televised live by CSTV. It will be the second of four televised games for the Cougars during the 2007 season.
The Cougars also changed the date of their non-conference game against Louisiana-Lafayette. Originally scheduled for March 13, the game against the Cajuns was postponed due to rain until May 8.
But to accommodate Louisiana-Lafayette's final examinations schedule, Noble and UH administrators recently agreed to reschedule the game for 7 p.m., May 9 at Cougar Field.
