Soccer Closes Out Four-Game Road Swing This Weekend

HOUSTON - The University of Houston soccer team heads out on its final road trip of the season this weekend, taking on Tulsa and SMU in Conference USA action on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
Friday's match kicks off at 7 p.m. CDT at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium while Sunday's contest starts at 1 p.m. AT Westcott Field.
Houston (4-9-1, 0-5 C-USA) leads the all-time series with the Golden Hurricane 2-0 but trails SMU by an 0-7 count.
Isalara Rodriguez (Houston, Texas/Awty International School) is the team's leading scorer with three goals. Lauri Byrne (Southlake, Texas/Southlake Carroll HS) is on her heels with a pair of scores. Shelby Scott (Mesquite, Texas/North Mesquite HS) has played every minute in net this season. UH's all-time leader in saves has a goals against average of 2.02 with three shutouts.
Tulsa 3-12-1 (1-5 C-USA) is led by Jennifer Kacergis who has two goals and two assists for six points. Kendall Harclerode has played the majority of the season in goal for TU, posting 89 saves, but junior Rachel Robinson has played part of the last three contests between the posts and has notched 13 saves.
SMU is 5-7-1 (1-5 C-USA) on the season and has lost five straight. Allison Brill leads the way with four goals on the season while Kim Peabody has three scores. Goalkeeper Ashley Gunter has seen action in 11 matches, tallying 46 saves.
