TCU HEAD COACH JIM SCHLOSSNAGLE
On Espineli's pitching
"He's a competitor at the highest level. Once he caught his rhythm he was tough. This is a tough ballpark to pitch in during the daytime because the ball jumps out especially to left field. He really started to establish the low strike and Louisville swung the bat early in the count and we really played defense today"
On the challenge of the next game the Horned Frogs will play in the tournament
"We either have to play the fifth ranked team in the country (USF) or I think the hottest team in our league at home (Houston). We'll show up and play and do our best."
TCU STARTING PITCHER EUGENE ESPINELI
"I was tired out there, it's a hot day. After the third inning I was definitely tired, but I didn't want to tell coach I was tired because we need to keep our bullpen rested and to try and get a big win tomorrow. I figure this is the last time I will throw in this tournament, so I figured I would go out there and try to keep getting outs"
TCU CENTER FIELDER AUSTIN ADAMS
"I was seeing the ball alright and I knew if we didn't come up big this game we were going home. We just laid it on the line and hoped for the best."
