UH Hosts NCAA Selection Show Party for Lady Cougars

As the Lady Cougars await news of where and who they will play in the opening round of the 2004 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, The University of Houston will host a Selection Show Viewing Party for the team on Sunday, March 14, from 3-5:00p.m. in the O'Quinn Great Hall inside the Athletics/Alumni Center on the UH campus.
The 2004 NCAA Women's Basketball Selection Show, airing live on ESPN from 4-5:00p.m., will be shown on large televisions, while 88.3 KAXF FM, home to Lady Cougar basketball during the 2003-04 campaign, will also be broadcasting the selection party live from 4-5:00p.m.
Houston head coach Joe Curl, the coaching staff and players will be on-hand for the festivities.
In posting a 27-3 record - the best in program history and fourth-best among Houston's all-time basketball history - and winning the Conference USA title, the Lady Cougars have earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 12 years.
The First Round of the NCAA Tournament will be held March 20-23 at one of the 16 pre-selected hosting sites.
