FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Chandi Jones scored 14 of her 20 points in the second half to help No. 11 Houston beat Marquette 67-59 Saturday in the semifinals of the Conference USA tournament.
The Cougars (26-3), who advanced to their first conference title game in school history, equaled a school record for wins in a season. They will play the TCU-Louisville winner on Sunday.
Sancho Lyttle added 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Daphne Andre scored 10 in Houston's 11th consecutive victory.
Kelly Schwerman led Marquette (21-9) with 14 points, and Christina Quaye added 10.
Houston led 28-25 at halftime, but Jones keyed a 13-0 surge with a basket and a 3-pointer to start the second half.
Marquette used an 18-7 run to cut it to 51-46 with 8:35 remaining. The Cougars scored the next eight points over the next three minutes, capped by Joann Overstreet's layup that made it 59-46.
Houston has made it to the Conference USA semifinals twice in the conference's nine-year history, with its last appearance coming in 2002.
The Cougars can guarantee a spot in the NCAA tournament for the third time with a win Sunday, but will most likely earn an at-large bid if they fall short.
