TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Houston's baseball game at Conference USA rival South Florida was postponed Friday night after heavy rain moved into the area just before first pitch.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday. The first game of the twinbill, to air live on FOX Sports Net Florida, will begin at noon (CDT). The nightcap could begin shortly after the first game or be part of a day-night doubleheader, depending on the weather conditions in central Florida on Saturday. Its starting time will be determined later.
Fans can catch the action at KAXF 88.3 FM or over the Internet at www.UHcougars.com with pregame slated to begin about 15 minutes before the first pitch. Fans can also catch the action batter-by-batter by visiting www.UHcougars.com and clicking on the "Gametracker" link on the Daily Calendar at the bottom of the main page.
Junior righthander Brad Sullivan (5-4, 2.10) will start the first game of the doubleheader, while junior southpaw Danny Zell (8-3, 2.25) will take the hill in the nightcap. USF will counter with righthander Jon Uhl in the first game and righthander David Austen (9-1, 1.95) in the second game of the day.
