Houston, Texas - The University of Houston football team could not have asked for a much better day in which to practice on Thursday afternoon. With a cloudless sky and comfortable temperatures, the Cougars continued working on their new offensive and defensive schemes.
"We have worked on cleaning up the exectution in our offense and defense this week," head football coach Art Briles said. "I have been really pleased with the enthusiasm and effort the players are giving so far."
Briles and the Cougars went through two and one-half hour practice on the field and then finished with workouts in the weight room.
Houston will continue practice on Friday afternoon before having its third intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Robertson Stadium.
