Lady Cougars Ranked Ninth by Trackwire

Houston is paced by NCAA outdoor long jump champion Jenny Adams, who finished fifth in the long jump and 60-meter hurdles at last year's NCAA Indoor Championships. Adams is ranked as the nation's top long jumper and is second in the 60-meter hurdles by Trackwire.
The Lady Cougars also return All-American Rhian Clarke in the pole vault. Clarke provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships at the Leonard Hilton Memorial meet when she won the pole vault with a mark of 3.10 meters. Clarke is ranked sixth among the nation's top 12 athletes in the pole vault.
