Cougars Baseball Team Ranked 11th in Year's Final Poll

HOUSTON (June 19) - After a sensational season that included a school record 48 wins and
coming within a single run on the last day of the year of reaching the
College World Series, the University of Houston baseball team earned a final
ranking of 11th in the country by Baseball America Magazine the publication
announced on Monday, June 19th.
Houston was also ranked 12th in the country by USA Today/Baseball Weekly and 13th in the nation by Collegiate Baseball Magazine. All three rankings are the highest finish for the UH baseball team since the Cougars finished second in the College World Series in 1967. Houston also earned a final ranking of 14th in 1987.
