Nick Buckley began his role as Associate Athletic Director of Ticketing at the University of Houston in August 2024. He is very excited about the opportunity to grow the Houston fan base across all ticketed sports while driving additional revenue for the athletics department. In addition, his passion for pouring into his staff and developing their skill set shines through on a daily basis.
His background includes stops in both professional sports and collegiate athletics.
Buckley spent 2021-2024 at the University of Tennessee, a time when Tennessee achieved unparalleled success from a revenue generation perspective. From 2021 to 2024, Tennessee vaulted from 20th to 5th in total athletics budget. On a more granular level, he had the opportunity to rebuild the Ticket Sales team from the ground up by hiring a full sales team, building out a retention team, and establishing a culture centered around trust and integrity.
Before that, Buckley had the opportunity to work with the Houston Rockets (2016-2020) focused on selling suites, floor seats, and club seats.
Buckley and his wife, Allison, are both Baylor alums. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, cheering on the local Houston sports teams, and trying new restaurants.
