Dr. Bonnie Gregory

Bonnie P. Gregory, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UTHealth at Houston/McGovern Medical. She has been a team physician with University of Houston Athletics since 2020.
She completed her undergraduate education at Duke University, medical school at University of Louisville, orthopaedic surgery residency at the prestigious Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, and sport medicine/shoulder fellowship at Duke University.
Dr. Gregory also serves as team physician for the Houston Rockets, Houston Dash, and for Foster High School.
She has an active interest in clinical research and is an expert in the management and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries. She has authored many scientific articles as well as textbook chapters on topics within sports medicine, and presented her work at national meetings.
She is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and serves on the Team Physician and Athlete Advocacy Committee and the Council of Delegates on behalf of the state of Texas, and was selected as one of AOSSM’s BOLD Playmakers as a young leader nationally.
