Melissa Sims joined the University of Houston Volleyball program as its director for operations entering the 2018 season.
In her role, Sims will assist with day-to-day operations and travel coordination as well as maintaining alumni and recruiting databases. She will also serve as the program's liaison to the Cougars' support staff and assist in recruiting materials for the program and on social media.
Sims comes to Houston with a proven graphic design background. Most recently, she served as a graphic designer at Levi Strauss & Co. She has also worked for Ideo, Jack Morton Worldwide, and Academy Sports + Outdoors, among others.
Sims, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, played volleyball at Sam Houston State from 2004-07.
