Morgan Ferrara

Morgan Ferrara returns to the American conference as volunteer assistant coach in Fall of 2021. Along with coaching, she is pursuing her Doctorate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Houston.
Prior to the University of Houston
Ferrara was a full time assistant coach at UMass Amherst for one season. In that single season Ferrara helped to coach the team to a second place regular season finish in the Atlantic 10. She also helped lead the forwards and midfielders to 4 All-A10 selections. Prior to UMass, Ferrara was a graduate assistant at Eastern Kentucky University for two seasons, where the team had an OVC final four appearance and a university record team GPA of a 3.82, the second highest in Division I NCAA soccer in 2019. EKU also was the home of Erin Torrence, who was an Academic All-American, EKU All-Time leading scorer and First Team All-OVC. Ferrara was also selected for the United Soccer Coaches 30 Under 30 in 2019.
Playing Career
As a collegiate player at the University of Central Florida, Ferrara hoisted a long list of accomplishments. This included the 2017 American Conference Player of the Year, 2018 University of Central Florida Athlete of the Year,  2018 NCAA Woman of the Year Finalist,  2017 United Soccer Coaches Association First-Team All Regional Team selection, 2017 American Athletic Conference First-Team Selection, 2017 American Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team, 2017 American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the week twice, 2017 American Athletic Conference Top Goal Scorer and Points Leader, NCAA Player of the Week Finalist, scoring five goals in one week. She was also on the leaderboard nationally, as she was NCAA Top 10 in Game Winning Goals and NCAA Top 10 in Goals per Game. Ferrara Led the team in goals and points with 13 goals and 29 points, and led her team to the 2019 American Athletic Conference Regular Season championship, with highlighted wins against #2 UNC, #21 Arizona State and #25 Arizona. The 2017 Knights were ranked 4th in the country for 8 weeks in the 2017 campaign. In 2016, Ferrara was also an All-American Athletic Conference selection as midfielder, being the second leading scorer on the UCF squad. Ferrara also served as President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee from 2017-2018.
After graduation in 2018, Ferrara had a stent with the Orlando Pride, along with a short career stent in France before she decided to pursue coaching in 2019.Â
