• JB Brown joined the Houston Football program as a defensive graduate assistant in spring of 2017.
• The Alvin, Texas, native arrived in Houston after stints as a graduate assistant at both Kansas (football) and Pacific (baseball).
• A two-time all-conference second baseman at Pacific, Brown was drafted in the 14th round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the New York Mets. He would later play for the Brooklyn Cyclones, St. Lucie Mets and Savannah Sand Gnats.
