Crystal Simpson has played a key role coming off the bench this season giving the Lady Cougars valuable minutes of strong defensive play. She is averaging 1.9 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in close to 14 minutes per game.
Career Notes
Was perfect from behind the arc, totaling a career-high nine points and three rebounds in Dec. 1, 2002 win over Sam Houston State? Made her Division I-A and Houston debut on Nov. 24, 2001 at Colorado where she saw four minutes of action.

Was a two-sport standout in volleyball and basketball for Galveston Ball High School . . . Averaged 18.9 points per game her freshman year, 20.1 points per game her sophomore season and 15.2 points per game as a senior? Was an outstanding student who had perfect attendance and was named to the honor roll in each of her final two years . . . Tutored kids during her free time.
