Cougars set to compete Wednesday through Saturday in Fayetteville
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Houston Track & Field team will send 30 student-athletes to compete in 19 events, including three relays, at the 2026 NCAA West First Round, from Wednesday to Saturday at McDonnell Field on the University of Arkansas campus.Â

The men will compete on Wednesday and Friday while the women will take the stage on Thursday and Saturday. The top 12 finishers in each event qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., June 10-13.

STARTING LINE NOTES
- The Cougars have 17 entries on the men's side and 13 on the women's side, competing in 19 events, including three relays.
- The men's 4x100-meter relay team, composed of freshman Sean Aigboboh, senior Dakari Charlton, senior Louie Hinchliffe and graduate Ryan Mulholland, also qualified individually in the 100m.
- Hinchliffe returns to McDonnell Field, where he stunned the track & field world in 2024 with a wind-aided 9.84 (+2.5) in the 100m to earn his spot at the NCAA Track & Field Championships, where he was crowned the NCAA Champion.
- The Cougars have a total of six entries in the men's 200m, the most by any school in the event. Aigboboh, Charlton and Mulholland also qualified, joining freshman Dominic Harper, junior Michael Onilogbo and junior Jaelyn Reeves-Lile.
- Sophomore Damarien Jacobs will compete in the men's 400m and will join Harper, graduate Trey East III and sophomore King Taylor in the men's 4x400-meter relay.
- In the men's throwing events, Houston will be represented by Big 12 Champion graduate Canaan Wharry in the discus, shot put school record holder junior Cordell Nwokeji and hammer throw school record holder redshirt sophomore Ty Lott.
- Fresh off a personal best performance in Arizona, the Big 12 men's high jump champion junior Antrea Mita is scheduled to represent the Cougars at the NCAA West Regionals for the third time in his career.
- Houston will have two representatives in the hurdles: senior Anthony Trucks in the 110-meter hurdles and freshman William King IV in the 400-meter hurdles.
- Senior Mouhameth Fall will represent the Cougars in the men's triple jump.
- On the women's side, sophomore Invida Maurina (800m), senior Kaycee McCoy (100-meter hurdles), graduate Miracle Thompson (100-meter hurdles), sophomore Evina Panagiotou (pole vault), graduate Arianna Peroni (pole vault), freshman Shieana Hall (triple jump), sophomore Sydney Freeman (shot put), sophomore Cleo Agyepong (shot put) and senior Zaeda Houff (hammer) qualified in their respective events.
- Freshman Kamree Wolrdige, sophomore Carlysia Cresser, junior Michaela Mouton and Jada Stanford will compete in the women's 4x400-meter relay.
