KEY INNINGS
4th | After the teams traded runs in the third, Houston broke open its lead in the fourth. Senior Antonelli Savattere singled to right field then stole second to reach scoring position. Sophomore McClane Helton drew a walk to put a second runner on before Fields doubled both of them home, putting Houston up 3-1.
6th | Helton drew a base on balls again to reach in the sixth, then advanced all the way to third on a wild pitch that walked Fields. A double-steal that caught Boston College's defense off-guard allowed Helton to score and extended Houston's lead to three.
9th | Houston added another run in the ninth. Redshirt senior Irvin Weems III pinch-ran for junior Tre Broussard, who singled to start the inning. The Las Vegas native stole second and advanced to third on a ground out before Savattere allowed him to score with a sac-fly to right.
Bryan continued to deal in the bottom of the inning, sitting down the Eagles in order to secure the win for Houston and the save on the mound.
