Six former Cougars earn playoff berths as the NFL regular season came to an end
HOUSTON – Houston Football will be well represented in the NFL Playoffs as six Cougar legends are on teams who earned postseason berths. Five will see action in the Wild Card round while Josh Jones and the Seahawks earned a first-round bye.

- Started on the defensive line in Weeks 17 and 18
- Earned three tackles, including a sack, as well as two QB hits against Miami
- Played 45 snaps split between defense (36) and special teams (9) in Week 17
- Made one tackle against Carolina, playing on 38 of Tampa Bay's snaps
- Finished the season starting in 16 of Tampa Bay's 17 games, posting 39 tackles, including two for a loss, as well as six QB hits, a pass defended and a forced fumble
- Earned a season defensive grade of 66.8 from Pro Football Focus, the 26th best among interior defensive linemen with more than 500 snaps played
- Finished the year with a run defense grade of 66.0, the 17th best among interior defensive linemen with more than 500 snaps

- Started at left tackle for the Seahawks in Week 17 and Week 18
- Played all 66 offensive snaps against the Panthers as well as five on special teams
- Saw 68 of Seattle's 69 snaps against San Francisco
- Seattle clinched the top seed in the NFC and will face the winner of Carolina/Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round
MARCUS JONES | NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS | W17: W, 42-10, AT NEW YORK JETS | W18: W, 38-10, VS MIAMI
- Started at cornerback for New England in Week 17
- Recorded two tackles against the Jets, playing 28 snaps split between defense (24) and special teams (4)
- Tallied two tackles, both for a loss including a sack, against Miami
- New England received the second seed in the AFC bracket, facing the Chargers in the Wild Card round

- Released by Green Bay prior to the start of the playoffs
