Cougars tee off at Collegiate Individual at Guadalajara Country Club presented by Babygrande on Friday morning
GUADALAJARA, Mexico – The University of Houston Women's Golf program opens its spring season when it tees off at the Collegiate Individual at Guadalajara Country Club presented by Babygrande, starting Friday morning.In a unique collegiate format, schools will play 54 holes over two days with 27 holes Friday and the final 27 holes on Saturday on the 6,210-yard, par-72 course at Guadalajara Country Club
This weekend's tournament will be the Cougars' first team competition since finishing seventh at the Landfall Tradition in North Carolina on Oct. 24-26, 2025.

Nick Gismondi and Sara Diaz will call the action beginning at 10:30 a.m. (CST), Friday and at 9 a.m. (CST), (Saturday). Gismondi and Diaz also will welcome fans to the tournament following Thursday's practice round at 7 p.m. (CST) Thursday.
MEET the COUGARS
Under the leadership of Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Lydia Lasprilla, the Cougars will be represented by senior Moa Svedenskiöld, senior Natalie Saint Germain, junior Maelynn Kim, freshman Sadie Adams and junior Emilia Vaïstö.
This season, Saint Germain leads the Cougars with a 70.67 scoring average and six rounds of par or better. The Prague native has scored six rounds of par or lower in three tournaments and captured the first title of her collegiate career at the Jim West Challenge with a score of 10-under 206.Svedenskiöld stands third on the team with a 72.44 average and tied for fifth at the Landfall Tradition in the fall finale.
Adams, competing as a freshman from Burnley, England, will compete in the first team-scoring lineup of her career after tying for 17th at The Bear Brawl at Ridgewood Country Club in Waco, Texas, on Oct. 28, 2025.
TEAM FIELD
The Cougars will compete in a 12-team field featuring Tulsa, Florida State, UTSA, TCU, Chattanooga, NC State, Colorado, Washington, BYU, Oklahoma State and host Virginia.
TEE TIMES
Vaïstö begins the day at 8:45 a.m., off No. 1 with Adams (8:54 a.m.), Kim (9:03 a.m.), Saint Germain (9:12 a.m.) and Svedenskiöld (9:21 a.m.) following.

UP NEXT
Following the Collegiate Individual at Guadalajara Country Club, the Cougars will play host to their own Chevron Collegiate at Golf Club of Houston on Feb. 23-24.
The Cougars welcome a 17-team field, which includes Arkansas, Baylor, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Maryland, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North Texas, Oregon, SMU, TCU, Texas State, ULM, UNCW and UTSA.
From there, Houston competes at the Lady Luck Invitational at Las Vegas Country Club in Las Vegas on March 2-3. The Cougars continue their western tour when they tee off at the MountainView Collegiate at The Preserve Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz., on March 20-22.
