Bowers Inks Deal with FC Gintra

Former Cougar signs to play professional soccer in Å iauliai, Lithuania
HOUSTON – Former University of Houston Soccer standout Maddie Bowers signed to play professional soccer with FC Gintra in Šiauliai, Lithuania, the club announced Wednesday.
Bowers spent four years with the Cougars from 2020-2023 before using her fifth year of eligibility at SFA with current head coach Ben Williams.
While at SFA, Bowers helped the Ladyjacks to a 14-4-2 record, a Southland Conference regular season and tournament title and a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
After a breakout year, the Lake Jackson, Texas, native earned First Team All-Southland honors after playing in all 20 matches with 19 starts. She finished fourth on the team scoring six goals and led the Ladyjacks with 11 assists.
Bowers appeared in 54 matches, making 15 starts during her time in Houston. She recorded six goals and five assists for the Cougars.
Bowers joins Ramsey Davis as the second former Cougar Soccer player to sign a professional contract in 2025.
