Wolfgang Glawe Named to PING All-Central Region Team

Houston senior earns place on postseason squad
HOUSTON – For his impressive play throughout the 2024-25 season, University of Houston Men's Golf senior Wolfgang Glawe earned a place on the PING All-Central Region Team.Competing in 11 tournaments, Glawe led the Cougars with a 71.13 scoring average, three Top-Five finishes and 11 rounds in the 60s. The St. Leon-Rot, Germany, native finished second on the team with 16 rounds of par or better and added seven Top-20 showings.
Glawe closed the fall season with a record-setting performance at the White Sands WVU Invitational at Ocean Club Course in Paradise Island, Bahamas.
He fired a bogey-free 63 in the First Round of that tournament to tie the Houston 18-hole record and join Michael Perras, Andy Sanders and Raymond Barr as the only Cougars to shoot last low in a round.
He opened the Cougars' own All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston with a 67 and finished third at 5-under 211 on March 17-19 and tied for 12th at the prestigious Valspar Collegiate Invitational – thanks to a Final-Round 66 – with a score of 6-under 213 at Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla.
Glawe led the Cougars and tied for third with a score of even-par 280 at the Big 12 Championships at Southern Hills Country Club on April 22-24. He earned a place on the league's All-Tournament Team for his Top-10 finish.
He fired back-to-back 69s and finished 17with with a score of 1-under 212 at the NCAA Urbana Regional in Atkins Golf Club on May 12-14 to cap his collegiate career.
In addition to his on-course achievements, Glawe received his bachelor's degree in sports administration in earlier this month.
