Two-day, 54-hole tournament begins Monday morning at Trinity Forest Golf Club
DALLAS – The University of Houston Women's Golf program wraps up its regular season when it tees off at the Veritex Bank Collegiate at Trinity Forest Golf Club, starting Monday.
The Cougars will play 36 holes with an 8:45 a.m., Monday, shotgun start with the Final Round beginning at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday.
Houston enters the Veritex Bank Collegiate after tying for sixth at the Florida State Match Up at Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla., on March 21-23 in their most recent action

MEET the COUGARS
Under the leadership of Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Lydia Lasprilla, the Cougars will be represented by junior Natalie Saint Germain, junior Alexa Saldana, sophomore Maelynn Kim, junior Moa Svedenskiold and senior Hyeonji Kang. Freshman Annika Ishiyama will play as an individual.
This season, Svedenskiold leads the Cougars with a 71.83 average and is tied with Kim for the team lead with 14 rounds of par or lower. The Halmstad, Sweden, native earned medalist honors at the Riverbend Intercollegiate with a score of 10-under 206 as Houston swept the team and individual championships.
Saldana stands second on the team a 72.13 average and is tied with Saint Germain for third with 13 rounds of par or better.
Saint Germain led the Cougars with a score of 222 to tie for 11th at the Florida State Match Up. It was her fourth Top-20 finish of the season and the 10th of her career.
TEAM FIELD
Houston will compete in a 15-team field featuring Boston College, Iowa, Lamar, Oklahoma State, Tarleton State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, East Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UCF, UT Arlington, UIW, Yale and host SMU.

That three-day, 54-hole event will be held at The Clubs at Houston Oaks in Hockley, Texas, on April 17-19. The winner of the league's annual postseason event earns an automatic bid to NCAA Regional play, set for May 5-7 at one of six sites across the nation.
