Cougars Open Texas Invitational with Two Top-Three Finishes

Houston resumes action on Friday at Texas Invitational and Penn Relays
AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Houston Track & Field program earned two top-three finishes and set three personal bests at the Texas Invitational on Thursday.

Freshman Kaylee Daniel cleared 4.00m in the women's pole vault to take second in the event.

Sophomore Antrea Mita placed third in the men's high jump with a clearance of 2.13m.

Two personal bests were recorded in the men's 400-meter hurdles as senior Charlie O'Block crossed the finish line at 52.41 for eighth place while sophomore Logan Lyght followed in ninth at 53.06.

Freshman Madyson Thurmond recorded a personal best in the women's 200m with her time of 24.76 for 14th place overall.
