Key Innings
3rd | Houston grabbed the lead first. Sophomore Jordee Wilkins singled, advanced to second on a wild pitch and reached third as freshman Isabel Cintron grounded out to shortstop. Wells drove her home with a single that narrowly stayed fair down the left-field line to put Houston up 1-0.

5th | Iowa State answered in the fifth as Sydney Malott overcame strong winds to hit a solo homer to center field, again tying the score at 2-2.
