Pair finish two-three-six in individual leaderboard
HUMBLE, Texas – The Houston Men's Golf Team won the All-American Intercollegiate tournament by nine strokes on Wednesday at the Golf Course of Houston with sophomore Chi Chun Chen and senior Wolfgang Glawe finished second and third overall.
Chen and Glawe, along with redshirt junior Hudson Weibel finished second, third and sixth on the leaderboard after shooting six-under, five-under and two-under, respectively. The trio helped Houston finished 20-under par as a team and beat second place Troy by nine strokes.
Glawe and Laurenz Schiergen paced the Cougars in the Third Round, shooting 71s for a one-under par scorecard.
Houston's scoring five of Chen, Glawe, Weibel, Schiergen, and redshirt senior Jacob Borow combined for a Third Round score of one-over par 289 with 11 birdies on the day.
The Cougars' 'B' Team finished 14th with sophomore Grant Doggett finishing 21st overall. Redshirt junior Bryant Hiskey II posted the best Round 3 scorecard with a two-over 74. The squad shot seven birdies on Wednesday.
Houston's lone individual competing on the 7,508-yard, par-72 Member Course for the All-American Intercollegiate Individuals event finished 39th.
