Cougars host Red-White Spring Game Saturday, April 19 at Carl Lewis International Complex
HOUSTON – University of Houston Football opens spring practice Tuesday, March 18, and will practice 15 times over a 34-day window, concluding with the program's annual Red-White Game, set for Saturday, April 19, inside the Carl Lewis International Complex.
The Spring Game, which will be free to attend, kicks off at 10 a.m. The game will also be broadcast on ESPN+. The Cougars will hold their second annual Lettermen's Event on Friday, April 18, in the TDECU Stadium Cougar Club. Additional information on both the Lettermen's Event and Spring Game will be available soon.
"We're looking forward to another memorable weekend on campus featuring our Lettermen's Event and Red-White Spring Game," Houston Football Head Coach Willie Fritz said. "It's always special for our current coaches and players to interact with the former players who built the foundation of this program and learn more about their experiences here. Playing in front of our fans at the Spring Game adds to the excitement and is a nice reward for our guys who have been working hard since early January."
Houston's spring slate will be intertwined with strength & conditioning sessions as well as team and positional meetings. Per NCAA rules, no more than 12 of 15 practices may involve contact and eight of the 12 contact practices can involve tackling.
