Cougars crack first CFP ranking since 2021
HOUSTON – After an 8-2 start the Houston Football team cracked into the College Football Playoffs Top 25 Rankings on Tuesday night, jumping to #23 in the committee's Top 25.
Houston is in the CFP rankings for the first time since the 2021 season when the Cougars joined the rankings in the 2021 Week 11 rankings and finished the season as the #20 team in the CFP rankings. The No. 23 ranking marks the third season since 2016 the Cougars have been in the CFP rankings and fourth season in CFP history.
The Cougars return home for their final home game of the season against TCU on Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. on FOX seeking their first 9-win season since 2021.
Houston concludes the regular season on Nov. 29 at Baylor. Kick time and network will be determined soon.
