Strombacha Ranked in ITA Singles Preseason Rankings

Senior Santa Strombacha ranked #109 in preseason poll
HOUSTON – University of Houston Tennis senior Santa Strombacha was ranked the 109th singles player in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, the organization announced Tuesday.
Strombacha is the first Cougar to be ranked in the ITA Preseason Rankings since Despoina Vogasari was ranked 42nd in 2015.
The Berlin, Germany, native reunites with Head Coach Katarina Adamovic at Houston after three strong seasons at GCU, where she earned All-WAC First Team honors in singles and doubles in all three seasons.
In 2024, Strombacha led the Lopes with a 19-1 singles record and 20 wins in doubles. During her time in Phoenix, Ariz., Strombacha amassed a 51-10 singles record and a 49-11 doubles record.
