Evelyn, Tamayo-Garza Conclude Action in Women’s 100-Meter at 2024 Paris Olympics

Cecilia Tamayo-Garza and Tristan Evelyn finish 45th and 53rd, respectively
PARIS – Former University of Houston student-athletes Cecilia Tamayo-Garza and Tristan Evelyn concluded action in the women's 100-meter at the 2024 Olympic Games inside Stade de France on Friday.
Tamayo-Garza, competing for Mexico, placed fifth in her heat and finished 45th overall at 11.39. The Olympic journey continues for Tamayo-Garza as she shifts her focus to the women's 200-meter set for 3:55 a.m., CT, Sunday.
At her second Olympic Games, Evelyn represented Barbados, placing sixth in her heat and 53rd overall with a time of 11.55.
