Volleyball Earns Two Matches on National Television

Cougars’ matches at Texas, Arizona State earn national television audience; All regular-season home matches will stream on ESPN+

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Volleyball team's matches at Texas on Sept. 11 and at Arizona State on Oct. 16 will be broadcast nationally on ESPN's family of networks, the Big 12 Conference and ESPN announced Thursday. Additionally, all of the team's home regular-season matches will be streamed on ESPN+.Â

Houston's trip to reigning national champion Texas on Sept. 11 (8 p.m. CT) will be on ESPN2 while the Oct. 16 tilt against the Sun Devils, slated for a 9 p.m. CT first serve, will be televised on ESPNU. The pair of linear pickups marks the most recent selections for the Cougars, who have had five nationally televised matches in their first two seasons in the Big 12.Â

Houston begins its 2024 campaign in less than three weeks as it heads to Nebraska for the Omaha Invite, taking on Omaha (Aug. 30) and Washington State (Aug. 31). The team then kicks off its home slate on Sept. 5 for the Flo Hyman Classic, hosting Louisiana and Northwestern State.Â
