GCU standout joins head coach Katarina Adamovic
HOUSTON – University of Houston Tennis Head Coach Katarina Adamovic announced the signing of sophomore transfer Valeriia Krokhotina (pronounced VAL-er-ee-ah CROW-ho-teen-ah) from Grand Canyon, on Tuesday.
"I am excited to welcome Valeriia to our team," said Adamovic. "She exemplifies the qualities of a true student-athlete. As a sophomore, her potential is immense, and I cannot wait to continue working with her."
In 2024, Krokhotina went undefeated in singles on courts three and four and posted an 11-1 record on her primary court five. The St. Petersburg, Russia, native finished the season with a 16-2 singles record and 10-8 record in doubles.
"Houston is a great opportunity for me to continue doing two professional areas: my major and sport," said Krokhotina. "The new level of these two components will increase my future goals and show me what a really big arena is."
