Notables to keep an eye on:
- Texas Collegiate Takeover:Â Seven different Cougars will compete in the great state of Texas in the Texas Collegiate league. The seven Cougars will play for either the Victoria Generals or the Brazos Valley Bombers.Â
- Coast-to-Coast:Â Ace Reese (California Collegiate) and Cole Carbone (New England Collegiate) and Cade Citelli (MLB Draft League) will head to the coasts to play their summer ball.
- MLB Draft League: Created by Major League Baseball (MLB) and Prep Baseball Report, the league operates a split-season format of 80 games. For the first 30 games of the season, running from June 1 to July 4, the league operates as a collegiate summer baseball league to serve as a showcase for top draft-eligible prospects leading up to each summer's MLB draft. After a break for the draft, play resumes for the remaining 50 games with paid players who have exhausted their amateur eligibility.
