
Track & Field Announces 2025 Meet Schedule

Cougars will host three indoor and three outdoor meets
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field program unveiled its 2025 schedule featuring six home meets held at Yeoman Fieldhouse and the Carl Lewis International Complex, Head Coach Carl Lewis and Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Will Blackburn announced Tuesday.

2025 SEASON DETAILS
The Cougars open the indoor season as they host the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational on Jan. 10 in Yeoman Fieldhouse.
Following the season opener, the team will travel to Texas A&M for the Ted Nelson Invitational on Jan. 24–25, marking one of several trips to College Station this season.
Houston returns home Jan. 31-Feb. 1 as it hosts the Robert Platt Invitational. Another trip to College Station follows from Feb. 7–8 for the Charlie Thomas Invitational.
The squad returns to Yeoman Fieldhouse for its final indoor home meet as it hosts the Howie Ryan Invitational on Feb. 14.
Postseason action begins with the 2025 Big 12 Indoor Championship in Lubbock, Texas, from Feb. 28–March 1. The indoor season concludes with select participants competing at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach, Va., from March 14–15.
Houston will shift its focus to the outdoor circuit, hosting the Kirk Baptiste Invitational on March 20 at the Carl Lewis International Complex. The team will split squads as they compete in Austin, Texas, at Texas Relays from March 26-29 and at Rice's Victor Lopez Invitational from March 27-29.
The Cougars return to the Carl Lewis International Complex for a special weekend as it hosts the Tom Tellez Alumni Invitational from April 4-5. Legendary Head Coach Tom Tellez will be honored with the unveiling of a bronze bust and garden on April 5.
Houston Track & Field invites all to celebrate Coach Tellez's extraordinary contributions to the university and the world of athletics. To contribute towards Tellez's commemorative bust and garden, fans are encouraged to donate to the Podium Club by clicking here.
After a weekend at home, Houston will head to College Station for the 44 Farms Team Invitational April 11-12.
Following a week-long break, the Cougars will split squads as they head to Philadelphia for the historic Penn Relays from April 24-26, and the Texas Invitational in Austin, Texas, on April 25-26.
Houston will close out the regular season on May 2 with the Cameron Burrell Alumni Invitational, honoring the legacy of Cameron Burrell.
The Cougars begin the outdoor postseason May 15-17 at the 2025 Big 12 Championship in Lawrence, Kan.
Qualified student-athletes will compete at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in College Station, Texas, from May 28-31. Those who qualify will conclude the year at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., from June 11-14.
