The Cougars wrap their two-game road trip at 8 p.m. CT, Monday against BYU
SALT LAKE CITY – Utah's first-half goal was the difference as the University of Houston Soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision on Thursday evening at Ute Field.
Houston (4-10-1, 1-8 Big 12) tallied nine shots in the match, with three Cougars taking a pair of shots, but were only able to muster two shots on target.
Utah (7-5-4, 4-3-2 Big 12) scored in the 35th minute as Kelly Bullock bent a shot into the top-right corner to secure a lead they would never relinquish.
Despite the one goal allowed, freshman goalkeeper Maggie Manning met her average number of saves with five stops on the evening. It is the fifth time in six matches that Manning has tallied at least five saves.

The Cougars head to Provo to battle BYU at 8 p.m. CT, Monday, at South Field.
Houston returns to Carl Lewis International Complex to wrap up the regular season when it hosts West Virginia for Senior Night at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25.
