
Tennis Opens Fall Season with Houston Invite

Cougars host Air Force, UT Arlington and Rice
HOUSTON, Texas – The University of Houston tennis team opens the 2023 fall slate with three days of action versus Air Force, UT Arlington and Rice at the Barbara Wallace Winston Tennis Facility beginning Friday morning.
Friday and Sunday's competition will begin at 9 a.m., while Saturday's matches are scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.
The Cougars are led by returning American Athletic All-Conference selection Laura Slisane. Slisane, Gabriela Cortes and Sophie Schouten each earned 11 singles wins in the spring.
Seven of the eight players return from a season ago, when the Cougars went 14-9, and finished in the quarterfinals of the American Conference Championships.
