Peck joins Cougars after stint at UCF and award-winning collegiate career at Texas A&M
HOUSTON – Former United States Junior Champion and three-time All-American Cameron Peck has joined the University of Houston Men's Golf program as assistant coach, Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke announced Tuesday.
Peck came to Houston after spending the 2022-23 season as an assistant coach at UCF. In his lone season with the Knights, he helped lead UCF to the team championship at the Hartford Hawks Invitational and a pair of individual showing at the NCAA Salem Regional.
Prior to entering the coaching ranks, Peck competed for seven years as a professional golfer.
Dismuke was familiar with Peck when the Cougars' coaching position came open. As an assistant coach at Texas A&M during the 2008-09 season, Dismuke recruited Peck to join the Aggies.
"I'm extremely excited to have Cameron join our program. He has a tremendous playing resume and brings a lot of competitive experience to our deep roster," Dismuke said. "Cameron will be a huge asset in helping take our program to the next level."

A native of Olympia, Wash., Peck was an award-winning star at Texas A&M from 2009 to 2013. He was a four-time PING All-Region selection and was a three-time All-American with the Aggies. In addition, he earned All-Conference honors in three of his four seasons.
Peck lettered each year and ranked third in the Texas A&M career records book with a 72.37 scoring average. By the time his collegiate career finished, his 160 rounds, 490 birdies and 77 rounds of par or better were the most in school history.
During the 2010-11 season, Peck fired a 9-under 63, which remains tied for the lowest round in Texas A&M history. He also finished third as an individual at the 2010 NCAA Championships.
In 2013, he captured the prestigious Washington State Amateur Championship title and the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) Amateur crown.
Prior to his collegiate career, Peck won the U.S. Amateur Junior Championship in 2008 and was tabbed the AJGA Rolex Junior Player of the Year that season. In 2009, he received the Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award.
As a professional, Peck played on the PGA Tour Canada following his graduation through September 2017. He turned in his best showing as a professional at the 2016 Players Cup, where he tied for second with a four-day total of 18-under 266.
In addition to his on-course achievements, Peck was an SEC Academic Honor Roll member and received his bachelor's degree in agricultural leadership and development from Texas A&M in 2014.
Peck replaced Gustavo Morantes, who accepted a similar position at Arkansas.
