Freshman named to league’s All-Freshman Team

This marks the program's first Big 12 postseason award and fourth consecutive year with an All-Freshman selection.
"We are all very proud of Ary and her accomplishment in being recognized by the conference as one of the best freshmen in the league," Head Coach Jaime Frias said. "This is a team sport and I believe Ary's recognition reflects the teams' ability to put her in a place where she can display her talent. I am excited to see continued growth out of such a young player. The award is well deserved."
Jimison finished her rookie campaign with five goals and four assists and led Houston in scoring in Big 12 play with four goals.
Despite not seeing her first career start until Oct. 8 against Kansas, Jimison recorded a goal and an assist in the Cougars' 2-0 victory against the Jayhawks.
The Carrollton, Texas, native scored the first goal of her career in Houston's 7-1 victory over Louisiana Tech on Sept. 3. Jimison posted her first Big 12 goal on the road against Iowa State (Sept. 28).
Jimison scored her first career brace in Houston's 2-2 comeback draw against #21 TCU (Oct. 12) where the freshman recorded two goals in the second half.
