Houston heads back to College Station for final trial before Big 12 Championships
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Houston Cross Country team looks to continue their season success as they break their month-long hiatus at Texas A&M's Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station on Friday morning.

Houston returns to the event for the second consecutive year. The women finished 15th with Meyer as the top finisher, and Seagraves lead the way for the men who finished 25th.
The Cougars will compete against programs from across the country that includes 42 men's and 43 women's teams. Houston will also face against five Big 12 Conference opponents making this meet a solid test before heading into the Big 12 Championships later this month.

Last time in College Station, graduate-student Claire Meyer and sophomore Miles Cox led the way for Houston. Eleven Cougars (eight men, three women) set a new personal best in the 8k and 5k races at the Texas A&M Invitational.
Meyer finished third overall and led the women to a fifth-place team finish. She has been the top finisher for both of Houston's meets this season. Meyer (3rd), Kelly-Ann Beckford (19th) and Zosia Bulhak (25th) finished inside the top-25 among the women.
Miles Cox crossed the line third and set a new personal best of 24:12:40, to lead the men's team to a second-place finish. Miles Cox (3rd), Branch Cox (10th), Bandon Seagraves (17th) and Aaron Crittenden (20) were top 20 finishers on the men's side.
