Softball Schedules Red and White Scrimmages

The events will be open and free to the public
HOUSTON – The University of Houston softball program has announced the schedule for its Red and White Scrimmages in advance of the 2023 season. The pair of intra-squad exhibitions will be played on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. and Feb. 4 at noon and will give fans an opportunity to see the team in action prior to the start of the season.

The Cougars were selected to finish four in the American Athletic Conference this season, receiving just one point less than third-place South Florida.Â

Houston begins its 2023 campaign on Feb. 9 as Virginia visits the Cougar Softball Stadium. Additional opening weekend matchups include South Dakota State (Feb. 10, 3 p.m.), Lamar (Feb. 10, 5:30 p.m.), another contest against Virginia (Feb. 11, 12:30 p.m.), Nebraska (Feb. 11, 3 p.m.) and Delaware (Feb. 12, 12:30 p.m.).Â
