Houston Wraps Up Day Three at ITA Regionals

Sophie Schouten set to compete in Singles Consolation Quarterfinals at 8:30 a.m.
FORT WORTH, Texas – Freshman Sophie Schouten advanced to the Singles Consolation Quarterfinals on Saturday at the ITA Division I Women's Texas Regional Championship at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center on the campus of TCU.
Laura Slisane, Gabriela Cortes, Maria Dzemeshkevich and Schouten commenced the day for the Cougars in the Singles Consolation Round of 16 with Schouten advancing to the Quarterfinals.
Elena Trencheva and Cortes concluded Doubles participation for the Cougars following an 8-3 defeat against Brandelyn and Lauren Fulgenzi from Incarnate Word.
Schouten will compete at 8:30 a.m. against North Texas' Jasmine Adams for a spot in the Consolation Semifinals facing the winner of Olivia Malm (BAY) and Sofia Franco Salcedo (UIW) at noon.
