Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup opens 2022 home slate
HOUSTON – Single-match tickets for the University of Houston's volleyball program's 14 home matches are now on sale. The 2022 home schedule features two Power 5 programs and two programs that made the postseason in the past two seasons.
Houston hosts the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup Sept. 2-3, which includes marquee matchups against Alabama and Oregon State. The Cougars open the season Sept. 2 against Central Arkansas.
The Cougars match up with Alabama for the second-straight season, this time at home in Texas rather than a pair of states east.
A singular match against High Point, a 2020-21 NCAA Tournament team, comes to Houston Sept. 18.
Houston's biggest home conference match of the season is Oct. 7 against four-time defending conference champion UCF.
The Cougars enter the 2022 season with high expectations coming off a 25-win season for the first time since 1994 and return six of seven starters from the 2021 team.
Houston opens the season on the road at LSU's Tiger Classic against cross-town rival Rice, Aug. 26.
